The present work aims to analyze the processes of social construction of risk of business representatives, union leaders, state institutions and professional organizations linked to Uruguayan rural production. This perspective assumes that risk is a social construction that is based on beliefs and values within a given context of opportunities and socio-economic restrictions. The objective of the work is to analyze the social construction of risk of these actors, contextualizing their discourse within the framework of their productive processes, their history and the concrete power structures of society. The work analyzes finding the points of agreement, which constitute the elements that make up the risk culture of rural production, and the points of disagreement, around which acceptable levels of risk are woven.
