Crimes contra a população LGBTQIA+ na Guatemala: análise interseccional dos registros de denúncias no período 2019-2021

Resumo

Indicadores de violência contra pessoas LGBTQIA+ aumentaram nos últimos anos na Guatemala. O país não reconhece os crimes de preconceito como crime, limitando sua condena e a reparação das vítimas. O objetivo do trabalho é descrever o comportamento dos crimes por preconceito na Guatemala. Para isso, eu proponho uma matriz de análise interseccional para estudar o comportamento dos crimes conforme a identidade/orientação das pessoas. A maioria dos crimes ocorreu em áreas metropolitanas, afetando principalmente migrantes, trans, gays e lésbicas. O estudo mostra a interseção de gênero, raça e nacionalidade, revelando padrões como a feminização da violência sexual e a delimitação de espaços de morte que podem ser muito úteis para a formulação de políticas públicas voltadas para a justa e correta reparação das vítimas.
