Plagiarism Policy

Tramas y Redes expects submissions to demonstrate intellectual rigor and honesty in the treatment of sources, data and results. The journal's policy is to publish original and unpublished works. Practices such as plagiarism, the fabrication or falsification of information, the submission of the same work to more than one publication without due reference, or the omission of sources and third-party contributions, are not accepted. When indications of such practices are detected, before or after publication, the editorial team will assess the situation and adopt the appropriate measures, which may include rejection of the submission, requesting clarifications from the authors or, if the work has already been published, a correction or retraction.

At the time of submitting an article, authors are asked to declare that the article has not been previously published or submitted to other journals for evaluation. In addition, the journal applies Crossref's Similarity Check anti-plagiarism software to all articles received, the results of which are then assessed by the editorial management team.

The journal considers it plagiarism when there is an omission of authorship of arguments, ideas or extensive use of words, and when the APA 7th edition standards indicating the appropriate way to make a direct quotation or a paraphrase are not applied. It is recommended that the same criterion be applied to one's own productions.
